Pay by bank account
This is a new way to top up your NS&I savings accounts.
It means you can make deposits through our website without needing to enter your card details or any reference numbers, so it’s quick and easy to use. And it’s highly secure as you will approve each payment through your bank’s own app or website.

Bank transfer and standing order
This is where you transfer money from your bank to NS&I. We’ll let you know the sort code and account numbers for your NS&I account, and you’ll need to quote your NS&I account number as the reference. You then give these details to your bank online, by phone or in a branch, and they’ll make the payment for you.

Debit card
You can top up your NS&I account through our website using your debit card. The card must be in your name and issued by a UK bank.
You’ll need to enter your full card details each time you make a deposit.
