Finding lost Premium Bonds

Premium Bonds have been around since 1956, so it’s quite common for people to lose track of them over time. You may have moved house, misplaced paperwork, found old Premium Bonds certificates, or forgotten about Bonds that were bought for you when you were a child.

If you think you may have Premium Bonds, we're here to help you find them.

If you have your holder's number

Your holder's number is:

  • 10 digits long
  • 9 digits long, or
  • 8 digits followed by a letter

You'll find it on most of the Premium Bond's document's you have.

I know my holder's number and the Bonds are in my name

You can register for an online account to see all your NS&I savings, including your Premium Bonds.

If you've held your Premium Bonds for a long time, you may need to call us or post us a form to finish registering. We'll let you know if you need to do this though.

If you don't have your holder's number

If you don't know your holder's number, or you're not sure you have Premium Bonds, you can use our Tracing Service.
