We're saying goodbye to paper prizes

We’re giving everyone more time to give us their bank details.

From Spring next year, we’re ending prize payments by warrant (like a cheque). We’re giving everyone more time to give us their bank details, so don’t worry if we’ve already written to you to let you know this is happening from the December 2020 prize draw. You’ll still receive prizes through the post for the time being if you haven’t updated your details yet.

What to expect

Good news if you already receive your prizes directly into your bank account, you don’t need to do anything. If you win any prizes, we’ll let you know by email or text, and we’ll pay your prizes into your bank account by the 7th working day of the month. Result!

If you get your prizes reinvested:

If your prizes are used to automatically buy more Bonds (we call this reinvesting), we might not have your bank details, so you’ll need to make sure your account is up to date.

You can do this by logging in and going to ‘Your profile’ and selecting ‘Your prize options’.

If you still get your prizes by post:

You can choose whether to have your prizes paid directly to your bank account, or reinvested into more Bonds. You’ll also need to give us up to date bank account details, so we can continue paying your prizes.

If you manage your NS&I savings online:

Log in to your online account and you'll be prompted to change your prize options.

If you don't receive a prompt after you’ve logged in, go to Your profile and select Your prize options and you’ll be able to change them here. You’ll also be able to change your bank details, choose to have your prizes reinvested into more Premium Bonds and choose how we notify you if you’ve been lucky in the prize draw (by text message or email).

You can also check your nominated bank account details are up to date by going to Your profile and select Nominated accounts.

If you’re not registered:

You can now update your prize options online without having to register first. You can choose to have future prizes either paid directly to your bank account or have them reinvested. We’ll also ask you for your nominated bank account details.

If you’re already registered, you will not be able to use this service. Please log in instead.
