A new version of the app is coming soon.

What's new in the app

We’re making changes to the NS&I app as we move to a new digital platform. Version 5.0.0 of the app is almost here.

It’s all part of our bigger plan to start building a better app experience – so what’s new?

You might notice things look slightly different at first, such as small changes to the layout to make it easier to find things.

We’ve also made the app more accessible. A new landscape mode means you can rotate the app in both portrait and landscape, perfect if you prefer to use your device this way.

And if you need to reset your login PIN, you can now do this in the app too – there's no need to call us.

There's lots more we want to do in the future, and this is just the start.

It's easy to update – here's how

If you have an Apple device, like an iPhone, and you've switched on automatic updates, you won't need to do anything. Your app will automatically update over the next few weeks.

If automatic updates are switched off, or you use an Android device, you'll still be able to download and install the latest version from your device's app store.

After the app updates, we'll ask you to log in to your NS&I account and complete a few simple steps. This helps us keep your account secure as we move to a new digital platform.

You'll need your NS&I number, surname and password to log in. These are the same details you use to log in to our website.

Here are the minimum operating systems for the new version of the NS&I app.

  • Apple requires iOS 16 or later.
  • Android requires Android 13 or later.
