Retirement
You have to think about the future if you want to realise your dreams.
You've got time on your hands. How will you spend it? Retirement can be a time of unbounded leisure, with time to do all the things you’ve always wanted; travelling the world or just visiting friends, rekindling a lifetime’s passion, like theatre or archaeology, or simply starting a new hobby, like painting or photography, something you haven’t tried before.
How closely will your dreams match the reality? They could be a perfect fit if you start saving now. You could plan for a retirement that is everything you want it to be and more. If you plan, you can. If you don’t, you won’t. It’s as simple as that.
And yet, nearly half the working population of the UK have little or no long term savings. Of the 26 million adults at work, 9 million have no pension at all. They simply pay their taxes and trust the rest to luck.
