This is a brief guide to how to manage your NS&I Direct ISA account online – just scroll down to what you want to do then follow the step-by-step instructions. You may want to print this page for your reference.
Security
To keep your information secure, you will be automatically logged out if you don't click on anything for 10 minutes.
When you log in, the first screen you see will be “Your balances” -
The balance shown on this screen is your available balance. It shows the funds available for you to withdraw, not your account balance. Any deposits you have made in the past 6 working days will not be included in the balance shown on the first screen.
To return to this screen from another screen, click "Accounts" in the bar at the top of the screen.
Your available balance (ie only including cleared transactions) will be shown on the right of the screen.
To see your account balance, together with your deposits and any other transactions you’ve made (including those in the past 6 working days -
Click on the name of the account if you want to see your full account history - eg “Direct ISA” – circled in red on the above illustration.
The balance shown at the bottom right of the screen will include any transactions that have not yet cleared, so it may be different to your available balance.
Click "Accounts in the bar at the top of the screen.
Then either click "Your account history" below the bar or just click on the name of the account.
At the right of the screen, under "Select dates", you can choose to view your transactions by tax year or between two specific dates. Click "change view" to activate your choice.
Click "Deposits and withdrawals" in the bar at the top of the screen. You'll then see a list of any previous deposits or withdrawals you have made online.
Click "Make a deposit" below the main heading on the screen.
Enter all the requested details and click "proceed".
Check the details you entered then click "submit" to make the deposit or "edit" if you need to make any corrections or "cancel" if you decide not to go ahead.
Click "Deposits and withdrawals" in the bar at the top of the screen. You'll then see a list of any previous deposits or withdrawals you have made online.
Click "Make a withdrawal" below the main heading on the screen.
Enter the amount you want to withdraw and click "proceed".
Check the amount you entered then click "submit" to make the withdrawal or "edit" if you need to make a correction or "cancel" if you decide not to go ahead.
