The gentleman from Scotland, who wishes to remain anonymous, said “I just can’t believe that this has happened to me! I only bought a small number of Premium Bonds, it just goes to show that it really could be anyone. I’m currently studying so this really will help me out, and will provide for a few good celebrations with my friends also.” In October’s draw ERNIE paid out over 1.6 million prizes, together amounting to more than £104 million in value. There were 36,905,393,763 eligible Bond numbers that could have won a prize.
