Agent Million's cloak-and-dagger mission is close to home this month. Shut away in his secret Blackpool hideaway, ERNIE has picked a winner right on his own doorstep. It's the 7th millionaire for Lancashire since the million pound prize was introduced in 1994, and July's winner becomes the 112th Premium Bond millionaire. Premium Bonds are one of Britain's financial success stories with sales of £1.1 billion in May 2003. Having become part of the nation's financial fabric, Premium Bonds are overtaking house prices as conversation over dinner, down the pub and in the back of cabs. 800,000 residents in Lancashire own Premium Bonds worth £1.2 billion. Since the first draw in 1957, ERNIE has given away over 103 million prizes worth £6.57 billion. Prizes range from £50 to £1million. There are currently £22.7million of unclaimed prizes.
