IT'S A HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR £1 MILLION PREMIUM BOND JACKPOT WINNER FROM EAST SUSSEX

01 January 2003

One very lucky person from East Sussex is going to get the New Year surprise of their life on 1 January when they receive a knock on the door from 'Agent Million' who will have travelled more than 300 miles from Blackpool with the news that they have scooped the tax-free £1 million Premium Bond monthly jackpot for January 2003.

The winner becomes ERNIE's 106th National Savings and Investments Premium Bonds millionaire. The winning Bond was bought in April 1992, and its details are:

Since the first draw in June 1957, 98.89 million prizes worth £6.34 billion have been awarded. In January 2003 a Premium Bonds record was broken when more than 18 billion Bonds were entered into the draw. Prizes range from £50 up to £1 million.
