As we all try to find ways to save money, growing your own fruit and vegetables is an obvious choice. This calendar will be updated every month to assist you along the way.
August
Holiday season means you’ll need to put on hold expenditures, subscriptions and utilities that will swallow up money while you’re away. Arrange for someone to water your crops so that your hard work doesn’t go to waste.
Don't forget to get the kids involved. Engage them in gardening by using home-grown produce to make smoothies and ice creams. As well as teaching them how to garden, use the school holidays as an opportunity to start showing your kids how to save, by giving them a set amount of holiday money every week.
