The winner from Leicestershire, who wishes to remain anonymous stated:
"This is incredible news and I am still trying to take it all in. I purchased my winning Premium Bond nearly two years ago, and I cannot believe I have received a visit from Agent Million. I will certainly be treating my family and friends."

In Leicestershire over 330,000 people own Premium Bonds, worth a total of just over £427 million. It is the third time that someone in the county has won the Premium Bond jackpot prize.

The winner from the London Borough of Camden also wishes to remain anonymous.  In the London Borough of Camden just under 60,000 people own Premium Bonds, worth in total over £135 million.  There are also over 3,700 unclaimed Premium Bond Prizes in the London Borough of Camden, worth a total of over £215,000. This is the fourth time that someone in the London Borough of Camden has won the jackpot.

In April’s draw ERNIE paid out over 1.7 million in prizes, together amounting to more than £108 million in value. There were 36,266,043,872 bonds in the draw.

Premium Bond Facts

The current Premium Bonds prize fund rate is 3.60% tax-free2.  The odds of winning any prize are 21,000 to 1, with average luck, an investor with £30,000 in Premium Bonds can expect to win 17 tax-free prizes a year.

23 million people have a total of £36 billion invested in Premium Bonds.

Premium Bonds can be bought online at www.nsandi.com, by telephone on 0500 007 0075, by post and over the counter at Post Office® branches, and brochures can be picked up in over 400 WHSmith stores.

Like all NS&I products, Premium Bonds offer investors 100% capital security, backed by HM Treasury, as well as the sense of fun that comes from winning tax-free prizes.

Since the first Premium Bonds prize draw in 1957, over 171 million tax-free prizes together worth over £11 billion have been paid out.  Prizes range from £50 to £1 million.

There are currently over 500,000 unclaimed Premium Bond prizes, which added together amount to over £30 million. There is no time limit on claiming prizes.  Premium Bonds investors can check to see if they have won by visiting www.nsandi.com and using the Premium Bonds prize checker.
