MARCH’S £1 MILLION JACKPOT WINNING NUMBERS

Celebrating Premium Bond

The winner from Wiltshire wishes to remain anonymous.  In Wiltshire nearly 300,000 people own Premium Bonds, worth a total of just over £470 million.  There are almost 4,000 unclaimed Premium Bond prizes in Wiltshire, altogether worth just over £220,000.  It is the third time that someone in the county has won the Premium Bond jackpot prize.

The winner from Dumfries and Galloway also wishes to remain anonymous.  He stated: “I have been waiting for this day for a long time!  My good fortune will go a long way towards helping my family!  Thank you ERNIE, it looks like we’ve certainly been blessed with some luck!”  In Dumfriesshire just under 40,000 people own Premium Bonds, worth in total over £46 million.  There are also over 600 unclaimed Premium Bond Prizes in Dumfries and Galloway, worth a total of over £40,000.  This is the first time that someone in Dumfries and Galloway has won the jackpot.

In March’s draw ERNIE paid out over 1.7 million in prizes, together amounting to more than £108 million in value. There were 36,203,395,210 bonds in the draw.

Premium Bond Facts
The current Premium Bonds prize fund rate is 3.60% tax-free2.  The odds of winning any prize are 21,000 to 1, with average luck, an investor with £30,000 in Premium Bonds can expect to win 17 tax-free prizes a year.

23 million people have a total of £36 billion invested in Premium Bonds.

Premium Bonds can be bought online at www.nsandi.com, by telephone on 0500 007 0075, by post and over the counter at Post Office® branches, and brochures can be picked up in over 400 WHSmith stores.

Like all NS&I products, Premium Bonds offer investors 100% capital security, backed by HM Treasury, as well as the sense of fun that comes from winning tax-free prizes.

Since the first Premium Bonds prize draw in 1957, over 169.30 million tax-free prizes together worth over £10.9 billion have been paid out.  Prizes range from £50 to £1 million.

There are currently over 500,000 unclaimed Premium Bond prizes, which added together amount to £30 million. There is no time limit on claiming prizes.  Premium Bonds investors can check to see if they have won by visiting www.nsandi.com and using the Premium Bonds prize checker. All Premium Bonds prizes are free of UK income tax and capital gains tax.
