Celebrating Premium Bonds holders The winner from Gloucestershire, who wishes to remain anonymous stated: "I am delighted to have won the jackpot, however I am still in shock. I could not believe it when I received a visit from Agent Million, it just goes to show that dreams can come true.” In Gloucestershire nearly 300,000 people own Premium Bonds worth £460 million. There are almost 4,000 unclaimed Premium Bond prizes worth just under £230,000. The winner from the London Borough of Hillingdon also wishes to remain anonymous. In the London Borough of Hillingdon 98,280 people own Premium Bonds worth just over £175 million. There are also over 2,700 unclaimed Premium Bond Prizes worth over £160,000 in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Premium Bond Facts The Premium Bonds prize fund rate is 3.80% tax-free. The odds of winning any prize are 21,000 to 1, with average luck, an investor with £30,000 in Premium Bonds can expect to win 17 tax-free2 prizes a year. 23 million people have more than £36 billion invested in Premium Bonds. Since the first Premium Bonds prize draw in 1957, over 167.58 million tax-free2 prizes worth over £10.8 billion have been paid out. Prizes range from £50 to £1 million. There are currently over 510,000 unclaimed premium bond prizes worth almost £30 million. There is no time limit on claiming prizes.
