Pay and Grading Information

NS&I operates under the delegated pay arrangements for employees below Senior Civil Service level.  The pay arrangements include both consolidated and non-consolidated payments and we follow the standard pay remit and bargaining process in line with civil service guidelines.
 
NS&I’s pay deal is made up of two main components:

  • Fully consolidated performance related increase to base salary
  • Non consolidated performance related payment based on individual and agency performance

Performance related base salary increases and individual performance related payments are directly linked to an individual’s total contribution rating. The level of Agency payment is set based on recommendations from our auditors. Their recommendations are based on their assessment of our performance against targets. It is intended that increases to base salary and performance related payments will be paid with effect from 1 July.
